JSW MG Motor India has dropped another teaser for its MG Majestor SUV ahead of its official unveiling on February 12. Billed as the largest SUV in its class, the MG Majestor measures over five metres in length and boasts a 2,950 mm long wheelbase. This translates to an imposing on-road presence, further solidified by its butch looks. The SUV brings a large gloss-black front grille flanked by split LED headlamps and slim LED DRLs, while the rear fascia wears connected taillamps and dual exhaust finishers.

Beefy skid plates take up either end alongside thick body cladding for protection, while side steps ease cabin ingress and egress. The Majestor’s hefty silhouette is further defined by its flared fenders, cosmetic roof rails, and large 20-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

While MG Motor is yet to reveal the India-spec Majestor’s cabin, it is likely to come with the same all-black upholstery as the Maxus D90. Feature highlights include twin 12.3-inch screens for the infotainment and digital cluster, complemented by a premium audio system. The SUV is further equipped with amenities such as wireless phone charging, a 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake, and a powered tailgate for everyday practicality.

The safety suite is expected to include multiple airbags, ESC, traction control, hill driving aids, TPMS, and ISOFIX mounts. The range-topping variants are expected to bring Level-2 ADAS with features such as lane driving aids, blind spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control.

Powering the MG Majestor will likely be the familiar 2.0-litre diesel engines from the Gloster, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and optional four-wheel drive

The MG Majestor is likely to carry over the 2.0-litre diesel engines from the Gloster. The single-turbo diesel unit makes 158.7 bhp and 373.5 Nm of torque and is expected in the entry-level variants. The twin-turbo mill delivers 212.5 bhp and 478.5 Nm and will likely be offered in the top-spec models. Both power units will be mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and offered with rear-wheel drive as standard and four-wheel drive as an option.

In the global markets, the Maxus D90 is available with a 2.0-litre diesel-hybrid configuration that pairs a twin-turbocharged diesel engine with a 48V mild-hybrid system. With this, it makes 247 bhp and 500 Nm of peak torque. There are petrol variants available as well, making 247 bhp and 410 Nm of torque.
